Myslovitz - and the world stops. [:Hi^^ As you may know, there's some music bussiness in Poland. And not all of it is crap. So there's this one band called Myslovitz. Even though they're from Poland and most of their songs are in Polish, they've been labelled as a 'britrock' band and that's basically why they didn't make a career in the UK. Anyways, I decided to try and translate some of their songs into English, cause I've heard from Mimi (*waves hand*) that she quite liked their music, but wished she understood what Artur Rojek (yes, the vocalist) was singing. If you don't know Polish, but are reading this, please trust me, their lyrics are MUCH better in original. If you appear to be, or at least understand Polish, I'd be more than pleased, if you said your opinion on my translations:) Oh, and just one more thing. The songs I've chosen were pretty random and there are only a couple of them. There might be a second part of this journal in the future, who knows... ;) Let's start with something I really had fun translating. So, this song in Polish is a little bit different, cause I've done something that you should never do, while translating: I let my imagination lead me among them words. And so that's why it has this slightly Shakespeare'an feel at the end^^'
Oh Peggy Brown, oh Peggy Brown * Okay, if you survived this, you may want to continue reading and listening at the same time - the link in each title! ^^ Now, the next song is a one shot. It either is appealing from the very first sound, or horryfying from the very first verse ;)
Open mouth * How did you like it? ^^ It's one of my favourite songs. And again, I repeat, the original lyrics are better - more striking in this particular song ;) Ok, if you're still following this, let's get to another song. It's pretty... Oh, well, I won't tell you, you'll see for yourselves! :P Z twarzÄ… Marylin Monroe (With Marylin Monroe's face) * Yea, I know what he's singing. You don't have to like it. ^^' (Lol, watch the ending! XD -Do you hear me? *pat, pat* -Does anybody hear me?! XD) Alright. Here comes another song. It felt quite nice to translate it, though I somehow got lost with this... "emarrassement" - it's TOO LONG, but I don't have any idea of making it shorter right now. ^^'
Amfetaminowa siostra (Amphetamine sister) Tenderly so I'm falling down * Aaaand... that appears to be the end of my today's song translations. I will do it again, for sure, cause it was pretty funny (apart from times when neither me, neither dictionaries could find the right word _-_) So, Mimi, I hope you understand at least this little now and I hope my translations didn't scare you away from this awesome band:D < 3 Related Groups:
